(1) Preparations

(1) After completely washing the container with modified asphalt specific gravity liquid, water, and distilled water, it is monotonous, and its mass (M1) is weighed with an accuracy of 1 mg.

(2) After heating the glass, immerse it in a warm water bath filled with frozen distilled water, insert the thermometer into the glass, and the water depth should be 40mm higher than the top of the container.

3) During the test, the distilled water in the hot water tank and cup is raised to a regular bottom temperature of 0.1°C.

(1) Put the specific gravity into the constant temperature bath in the bottle and cork.

(2) The water temperature in the glass should be restored to the normal temperature and kept for 30 minutes; pierce the cork into the bottle and squeeze the remaining water out of the pores of the cork. Be careful, there must be no air bubbles in the cylinder.

(3) Remove the glass from the water bath, then remove the pycnometer from the glass, immediately wipe the top of the cap with a clean soft cloth, and then quickly monotonate with water outside the 1mg pycnometer. Note that the cork top can only be scrubbed once, even if it cannot be scrubbed due to a small amount of water droplets on the swollen cork.

(4) Check the water value of the water bottle in m2-m1 by temperature.

3) Test phase of natural liquid bitumen samples

(1) Pour the sieved sample (0.6mm) into the bottle and fill with dry specific gravity. Be careful not to mix human foam.

(2) In the pycnometer and cork carrier thermoelectric bath containing the sample (measure the soil temperature of 0.1°C), assuming there is water, the water surface should be about 40mm below the throat. Make sure no water gets soaked in people's bottles.

(3) After the water temperature of the glass reaches the desired temperature, insulate the stopper for 30 minutes to remove the remaining sample from the hole of the stopper. The samples obtained from the clean clearings of trichloroethylene-impregnated cotton were carefully scrubbed and stored in the wells filled with the samples.

(4) Remove the pycnometer from the water, and immediately wipe the water outside the bottle or adhesive sample with a clean soft cloth (be careful not to scrub the hole). Called the mass (M3), it is accurate to 1mg.

4) Thickened asphalt test stage

(1) Prepare a sample of asphalt and carefully pour it into a bottle with a specific gravity of about 2/3. Be careful not to stick the sample to the modified asphalt cork or bottle wall, and do not allow air bubbles to mix.

(2) Take out the pycnometer containing the sample, make it monotonous, cool it at room temperature for at least 1H, and the cork (M4) indicates its mass, accurate to 1mg.

(3) Take a cup of distilled water from the bathtub, pour the distilled water into the pycnometer, and put it into the cup (cork). After the water temperature of the glass reaches the specified temperature, the temperature is 30 minutes, the amount of air bubbles in the bottle is increased to the surface of the water and removed with a fine needle. Keep warm until the water volume changes. After there are no air bubbles in the solid specific gravity thermostat, the remaining water is drained from the nest with a glow plug at a certain temperature. Assuming an overflow, be careful not to bring in air bubbles.

(4) After 30 minutes of heat preservation, take out the pycnometer, and quickly monotonate the outdoor water according to the method called mass (M5) above, and the accuracy can reach 1mg.

5) Test stage of solid bitumen samples

1) Before the inspection, assuming that the surface of the sample is moist, it can be used in a monotonous clean air or in an oven with a temperature of 50 °C.

(2) Crush 50-100g samples, take at least 0.6-2.36mm crushed samples through 0.6mm and 2.36mm sieves for cleaning, monotonate the specific gravity in the bottle, and weigh the mass (M6) after blocking, accurate to 1mg.

(3) Remove the stopper; add a drop of surface active agent solution (such as 1% washing powder and detergent), shake the pycnometer to make most of the samples sink to the bottom of the water, and the surface sample particles must be accompanied by air bubbles. Be careful not to remove the sample from the bottle when shaking

4) Remove the stopper, put the vacuum with the specific gravity of the sample and distilled water into the vacuum monotonic box (equipment), and gradually reach the vacuum of 98kpa (735mmhg, not less than 15min).

After shaking and subsequent evacuation: Repeat for the underlying balloon if necessary.

NOTE: The vacuum should not be too fast to prevent sampling from the pycnometer,

(5) Add the distilled water in the thermos to the pycnometer, carefully pierce the cork, then pierce the cork into the distilled water glass, and pierce the cork firmly.

(6) Place the pycnometer in a constant temperature tank (the temperature during the test is 0.1°C), take out the pycnometer, and quickly scrub the water in the bottle for no less than 30 minutes, which is called the mass (M7), accurate to 1mg.
